About the Role The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit based at ChristchurchWomen's Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Senior NICU nurse to stepinto a management role. You will have demonstrated leadership skills andclinical expertise to provide coordination and professional leadership, supportand guidance within the Neonatal Service in the role of an Associate ClinicalNurse Manager (ACNM). The Neonatal Service at Christchurch Women's Hospital is anacute service providing secondary/tertiary care to Newborn babies bornprematurely or with surgical, congenital and medical complications followingbirth. We are a 44 bedded unit compromised of 12 intensive care and 32 specialcare cot's and our catchment area is approximately 20,000 square kilometres ofthe South Island. About You As a senior member of the neonatal multidisciplinary team,the successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonalskills and be able to provide effective clinical leadership, direction andsupport to the neonatal nursing staff. The ability to problem-solve, make keydecisions and confront/resolve issues is imperative to ensuring the provisionof safe effective evidence-based quality care to the infants and families ofthe Neonatal Services. This position will also carry an individual specialtyportfolio. You will be given a thorough orientation and supported with yourongoing professional development. A Minimum of 5 yearsrecent neonatal intensive care experience. Demonstrates advancenursing skills comparable to senior nurse or expert PDRP with experienceand understanding of the neonatal journey working across all levels ofneonatal care. Advanced understandingof and proven commitment to, working in partnership with our serviceusers, their families/whanau and other health service providers in thecommunity.
