The Role Reporting to the Design Section Lead, you will be an Design Engineer partnering primarily with Ergo's key distribution and generation clients. Ergo have a unique, broad and diverse array of projects across the energy, renewables, and industrial sectors which in this role, you'll be a part of. You’ll utilise your technical expertise to understand key clients challenges before creating technical solutions with concept & detailed electrical design. The role will see you, Specialising in Primary or Secondary design, primarily across distribution and generation sectors. You will also undertake design for transmission and HV industrial projects Engaging with key clients in the energy sector, curating technical proposals and providing quality assuranceCollaborating with internal teams across CAD Drafting, Power Systems Analysis, Protection Engineering, and Civil Structural disciplines Providing mentorship for junior and graduate engineers About You Coming from a background in substation design, you may be coming from another Design Engineer role with a network, or related consultancy, with the desire to step into a senior position with greater technical ownership and leadership opportunities. Bringing a proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions across a broad variety of HV design projects, you will possess, Strong experience in substation design within distribution or transmission. Alternatively, experience in HV industrial or oil & gas engineering is suitable Proven design and delivery of complex electrical design projects Experience as a Design Engineer with a network or related consultancy The ability to develop, document and openly communicate technical solutions with clients Extensive knowledge of current industry design standards.
