Healthcare Assistant Part Time

Endoscopy Auckland Ltd – Epsom, North Island We are looking for a practical, reliable and patient-focused Health Care Assistant to join our team at Laparoscopy and Endoscopy Auckland. This is a hands-on support role working alongside our Ward Nursing and Theatre teams to help ensure patients receive a positive experience and the unit runs smoothly each day. This part-time position is for around 40 – 45 hours per fortnight, typically worked across 2–3 shifts per week. Shifts are generally between 8 and 12 hours in length. About the Role Assisting patients under the direction of Registered Nurses Providing patient support and observation when required Preparing patient areas and rooms for admissions and discharge Maintaining stock levels and supplies Supporting food service, meal preparation and kitchen management Assisting with housekeeping and cleaning tasks Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff Working collaboratively with nursing, medical and administration teams About You New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) or an equivalent qualification Previous experience working in a healthcare, hospital or patient care environment Flexibility to work rostered shifts across 2–3 days per week, with shifts ranging from 8–12 hours A positive, reliable and team-focused approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to delivering excellent patient care and service About Endoscopy Auckland Endoscopy Auckland is a leading provider of private endoscopy and surgical services, with day and overnight stays.
