Airconditioning and Refrigeration Technician Cowley Refrigeration Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team in Auckland CBD. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across commercial, industrial and residential applications. You will be at the forefront of maintaining, installing and repairing critical climate control systems that keep our clients' operations running smoothly. This role is integral to our service delivery and our reputation for excellence in the industry. Key responsibilities Install, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems for commercial, industrial and residential clients Diagnose faults in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment Perform preventative maintenance on systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards Commission new air conditioning and refrigeration systems and ensure they meet design specifications Respond to emergency call-outs and provide prompt repair solutions to minimise client downtime Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used and time spent on each job Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations, as well as environmental legislation relating to refrigerant handling Collaborate with the team and support other technicians to ensure consistent service quality Provide technical advice to clients regarding system operation and maintenance requirements Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry What we're looking for A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in air conditioning and refrigeration engineering or mechanical services Minimum of 5 years' hands‑on experience in installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems EST Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and testing tools specific to air conditioning and refrigeration systems Knowledge of electrical systems and controls related to HVAC and refrigeration equipment A strong understanding of health and safety requirements within the industry Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused approach Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple jobs A valid driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites Willingness to undertake further training and professional development What we offer Cowley Refrigeration Ltd is committed to supporting the wellbeing and professional development of our team members.
