About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicatedConsultantUrologistto join our dedicated team at Nelson Hospital. This is anexciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing service that deliverssafe, effective, and patient-centred urological care to our community. In this role, you will work within acollaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive urology careacross both outpatient and inpatient settings. This includes diagnosticassessment, operative and procedural management, and ongoing follow-up care.There is also scope to contribute to service development, supportteaching and supervision, and take on clinical leadership responsibilitieswithin the service. This position will be located at NelsonHospital with the requirement to work across both sites. Key Responsibilities: Provide elective and acute urology services acrossthe district Collaborate with surgical, oncology, and renal teams Participate in on-call roster and multidisciplinarymeetings Support junior medical staff and contribute toteaching and training Engage in continuous quality improvement andinnovation About theTeam/Service/ Location TheNelson Marlborough Urology Service provides comprehensive secondary-levelurological care to a population of approximately 150,000 people across the topof the South Island. Theservice includes: Outpatient assessment andfollow-up clinics Elective and acute inpatientcare Urological oncology incollaboration with regional cancer services Theservice operates primarily from Nelson Hospital, with regular elective listsand clinics at Wairau Hospital to ensure equitable access across the district.
