HamiltonJet is seeking an Engineering Graduate to join our Test Engineering team in Christchurch, as part of HamiltonJet’s Graduate Programme commencing in November this year. In this role, you'll gain hands on experience in a production testing environment, supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our advanced control systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll contribute to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance while developing your technical skills in software, electronics, and production testing. As part of the HamiltonJet Graduate Programme, you'll complete a structured two-year programme, including rotations through different departments to build a broad understanding of our business and set you up for a successful engineering career. What you’ll be doing: Support and maintain NI LabVIEW/TestStand production test sequences across all product lines, including our advanced control systems and Overwatch. Assist with the operation and upkeep of production test fixtures for PCBA, unit, and end-of-line jet testing across all sites. Support automated production build processes embedded within test systems, including serial number assignment, unit traceability, calibration, electronic programming, and results recording. Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for NPI programmes, contributing to test coverage and early fault detection. Maintain and document production test results and develop supporting documentation of test sequences and build procedures. What we are looking for: A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering. Previous internship or relevant work experience is advantageous. Foundational understanding of electronic systems, PCBAs, and test principles. Exposure to or interest in test environments -National Instruments LabVIEW and/or TestStand preferred. Analytical and methodical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving. Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation. A willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
