What You’ll Be Doing Technical Design: Deliver end-to-end civil design across a diverse mix of residential and commercial developments, tackling Wellington’s unique topography, steep terrain, and complex three-waters challenges. Infrastructure Layouts: Design practical, buildable solutions for stormwater, wastewater, water supply, earthworks, and roading. Software Mastery: Use Civil 3D to produce fully coordinated, high-quality design drawings and technical documentation. Project Autonomy: Run your own smaller commercial and residential design packages with the safety net, backing, and mentorship of an experienced Senior/Principal Engineer right beside you. Site & Stakeholder Exposure: Work closely with internal teams, local councils, and external stakeholders, alongside contributing to contract management and construction monitoring activities. What You’ll Bring Category Requirements Qualifications & Experience A relevant degree in Civil Engineering. 3 –6 years of experience within a New Zealand civil design consultancy environment. Technical Competencies Strong, proven proficiency in Civil 3D for land development layouts. Practical understanding of NZ design standards, local authority requirements, and earthworks/roading design. Exposure to construction monitoring or contract management is a strong plus. Professional Drive Excellent communication skills and the drive to keep developing technically as you transition into a senior role.
