Here's an opportunity to support the next phase in this successful family business Who are We South Island Seed Dressing & Storage is a well-established and respected business supporting New Zealand's agricultural sector. With the third generation leading the day to day operations, new systems and processes are coming online to support the next stage of growth. Alongside our New Zealand operation, they also provide administration support to a Tasmanian business. About the Role We're looking for a highly experienced office/administration manager to become the operational backbone of our business. This is a broad, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with and report to the Operations Manager, taking ownership of the functions that keep the business operating efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading the office and business administration functions Managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking and reconciliations ready for the external Accountants Overseeing payroll and working with outsourced payroll providers HR advisory and administration from onboarding to employment relations Chairing the Health & Safety Committee and maintaining compliance records Coordinating export and shipping documentation where accuracy is key Managing suppliers, insurance, leases and workplace services Supporting the Tasmanian operation with administration as required Identifying opportunities to improve systems and business processes About You You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership and thrives having a variety of responsibilities. You'll most likely have be working in a medium sized business where you have owned and lead these functions - of particular important in this role is HR advisory responsibilities. You are highly organised and have exceptional attention to detail. The ability to juggle multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure is the kind of day you enjoy. Your strong communication skills and the confidence to work with staff, customers and suppliers allows you to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders. Key skills essential to your success Previous experience in a senior administration, office or business support management roles HR advisory experience, including employment relations, onboarding and employee documentation Health & Safety knowledge and confidence working with compliance requirements Strong financial administration skills, including accounts and reconciliations ideally with experience using Xero or similar accounting software Payroll experience and a sound understanding of NZ employment legislation Why Join Us?
