Delivery Driver/Forklift operator

Our client is a well-established, family‑owned business within the food distribution industry, currently seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Operator/Delivery Driver to join their friendly Christchurch‑based team. About the Role This is a hands‑on position where you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse. You’ll be responsible for ensuring stock is accurately picked, packed, and dispatched, while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. This is a fast‑paced environment, so a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. Key Responsibilities Operating a forklift to load and unload trucks Local deliveries around Christchurch Picking and packing orders with accuracy General warehouse duties and stock handling Working in chiller/freezer environments as required Assisting with inwards goods and dispatch Supporting the wider team with daily warehouse operations Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as required Hours typically between 5:00am – 3:00pm Starting rate: $27.00 per hour + 8% holiday pay The Successful Candidate Will: Have a Full Class 1 clean licenceand be able to drive a manual vehicle Current forklift licence with proven experience (OSH) Physically fit, with the ability to handle regular manual lifting Strong multitasking ability and comfort moving between warehouse, forklift, and driving duties Have good knowledge of the Christchurch area Be trustworthy and have great customer service If you’re looking for a stable role with a supportive team and enjoy hands‑on warehouse work, we’d love to hear from you.
