About the Role As a registered nurse in our endoscopy unit, you will Deliver safe, patient-centred and evidence-based nursing care, building effective therapeutic relationships with patients and whānau. You will collaboratively plan and provide holistic care, incorporate education and support needs, and adapts quickly to changing patient needs. About the Service Reporting to the Operating Theatre Manager, the RN's carry out pre admission patient assessments, nurse led consents along with IV cannulation, use of endoscopic tools and caring for patients having sedation, followed by the recovery phase. About you You will be a Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Nursing Council (NZNC) Annual Practising Certificate and a minimum of five years' post registration nursing experience, as well as: have advanced clinical and technical expertise specific to endoscopy nursing or demonstrate the desire to achieve same demonstrate effective planning and prioritisation skills have the ability to work under pressure use appropriate communication when interacting with colleagues, patients/clients/residents and their families/whanaumaintain a personal professional portfolio to meet the Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) requirements of SCDHB Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
