Foreman - Mechanical & Civil Construction Mechanical Foreman Benmore Dam Project | Twizel Help deliver one of New Zealand's most significant infrastructure projects. Start Date: August 2026 Opportunities like this don't come around often. Seipp Construction is looking for a Mechanical Foreman to join our Benmore Dam team, delivering major seismic strengthening works on one of New Zealand's most important hydro-electric assets. This is a long-term project expected to run for at least 2-3 years, working alongside an experienced team delivering technically challenging infrastructure that will leave a lasting legacy. About the role This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising mechanical construction activities on site. Working closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, specialist subcontractors and skilled tradespeople, you'll ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The role includes heavy lifting, hydraulic systems, structural steel, mechanical assemblies and specialist construction methods. You may currently be a: Mechanical Foreman General Foreman Mechanical Fitter leading crews Structural Steel Supervisor Heavy Industrial Supervisor Bridge Construction Foreman Leading Hand ready for the next step If you've successfully led construction teams and enjoy technically challenging work, we'd love to hear from you. Experience in any of the following would be an advantage: Mechanical construction Heavy industrial projects Bridges and structures Mechanical fitting Hydraulic systems Welding and fabrication Water or hydro infrastructure Heavy lifting or jacking systems Temporary works You don't need experience in every area. We're looking for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys solving problems and knows how to lead people safely and effectively.
