Great People Recruitment – Cambridge, North Island We are seeking a warm, reliable local person who can bring a calm and steady presence to a rewarding support role. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will help a friendly and enthusiastic young adult with a disability live their best life through encouragement, companionship and community involvement. This role is unique and can provide regular, meaningful work. It is ideal for someone who values connection and enjoys providing practical support, companionship and a steady, mature presence while encouraging independence and positive experiences. The role Based in Cambridge, the role includes: Providing transport and companionship at a regular activity (approximately 2 hours per week). Transport to and from evening local social activities, as required. Being part of a team that accompanies and provides support on weekends away. Potential to provide live-in respite care when required. Encouraging and offering support with daily chores and meal preparation. Reliable, dependable and committed to being part of a small support team. Looking for ongoing casual work with regular involvement. Mindful of the importance of being present, kind, open, honest and transparent. Someone who has a sense of humour with a fun-loving approach. You will also: Hold a full clean driver's licence Be confident and comfortable driving.
