The Opportunity We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Vending Machine Technician in the Lower North Island area. This role is perfect for an honest, reliable, and enthusiastic individual who is eager to embark on a career that combines technical skills with customer service. As a key member of our service team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vending machines, ensuring they are always in top working condition. This role is Monday to Friday, 6.00am - 2.30pm Key Responsibilities Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve faults in vending machines, including mechanical issues and payment system malfunctions. Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machines and operating systems to prevent future problems. Part Replacement: Efficiently replace defective parts, such as refrigeration components, to ensure machines are fully operational. Warehouse Service Work: Perform a variety of tasks at our Auckland-based warehouse, contributing to the overall readiness of our equipment for deployment. Requirements Legal Eligibility: Must have a current New Zealand driver’s license, citizenship or a relevant work visa, and if applicable, a current work permit. Background Checks: Agree to undergo a criminal history check and an ACC check. Health and Safety Compliance: Pass a pre-employment medical examination, including a drug and alcohol test. Desired Skills and Experience Communication: Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Relationship Building: Ability to foster strong relationships through reliability and flexibility in service delivery. Independence and Teamwork: Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative in both settings. Physical Fitness: Maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving equipment. Technical Skills: Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is highly desirable, including troubleshooting and repairs of appliances, understanding of plumbing and electrical systems, and proficiency with hand and power tools. An electrical qualification or current electrical licence would be considered advantageous.
