Radiographic Assistant

Location: Wellington Regional Hospital and Kenepuru HospitalService: Radiology Department - Wellington and Kenepuru HospitalsContract: Permanent, full time. About the Role Salary: $72,000 - $82,000 (depending on experience) Do you have an interest in patient care and strong interpersonal skills and communication? This is an opportunity to make a difference within the Radiology department within Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals as an integral member of the Radiology team. The Radiographic assistant role (would suit someone with a nursing or Health Care Assistant (HCA) background) within the department is hugely varied and works closely with the Radiologists, Medical imaging technologists, sonographers and our nursing colleagues. The main duties involve: Assist Radiologist team with procedures Helps manage workflow and bookings across the day/week in various imaging areas Assistance in MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Breast and any other modality as requested Necessary supplies are appropriately ordered and stocked Procedure rooms are cleaned and tidied, any spills or waste appropriately cleaned up The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the service and care of our patients with additional opportunity for development within the department. This role is full time and there is the opportunity for weekend day shifts (with rostered days off) supporting a 7 day/week Radiology service.
