The Opportunity This full-time role owns marketing execution for Portlander Restaurant - and it's not a desk-only marketing job. Reporting to the Hotel & F&B Marketing Manager, you'll take the group-wide F&B Strategic Framework and bring it to life for Portlander day to day: always-on offerings, event series, content and CRM. You'll work hands-on with the operations team, brief front-of-house staff on promotions, support the Conference & Events F&B team, drive PR and media coverage, and get behind the camera to shoot and edit content yourself. This role suits a seasoned hospitality professional who has also built strong marketing skills - not a marketer looking to learn hospitality. Key Responsibilities Execute Portlander's F&B Strategic Framework in full, delivering the venue's always-on offerings (e.g. business lunch, dinner set menu, weekend activation) consistently, on-brand and commercially strong. Plan and deliver 12 venue-specific events per year, working hands-on with the operations team. Brief and train front-of-house staff on offers, promotions and campaign activity, so what's marketed lands accurately at the table. Drive PR and media coverage, and own the content calendar across social and digital channels, shooting and editing content yourself. Own SevenRooms CRM execution end to end, and monitor guest feedback across review platforms to grow repeat visitation and protect Portlander's reputation. Identify and execute partnership funding opportunities under the EVT Partnership Funds Framework, and maintain a regular performance reporting schedule. What You'll Bring A genuine hospitality background, ideally with front-of-house, restaurant or venue operations experience, and a solid understanding of service flow and the guest journey. (Essential) At least 4 years' experience in F&B or restaurant/hotel operations, with hands-on marketing or content experience built within that environment. (Preferred) Comfort being on the floor during service, functions and events - training and briefing teams, and working hand-in-glove with operations. Strong copywriting, proofreading and storytelling skills suited to the Portlander brand and audience. Hands-on content creation and editing skills using tools such as Canva, CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite. Working knowledge of organic and paid social channels and their performance metrics. Experience with CRM or guest database platforms (e.g. SevenRooms), guest segmentation and loyalty-driven marketing. Confidence writing commercial proposals and reporting against them, with strong organisational and project management skills. A tertiary or hospitality-related qualification (e.g. hospitality/hotel management, Duty Manager's certificate) is preferred but not essential.
