About the role We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead AI capability across our platform, reporting directly to the CTO. This is a hands-on senior role with genuine ownership, you'll shape the AI roadmap and ship it too. You will: Build LLM-powered features: intelligent document extraction (utility bills, invoices, spreadsheets), RAG, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning using frontier model APIs (Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI) and open-weight models Develop AI agents and tool-using workflows that automate carbon data collection, validation, and reporting end-to-end Own MLOps: cloud deployment (AWS), monitoring, drift detection, and evaluation pipelines rigorous enough for Big 4 audit scrutiny Apply classic ML where it wins, forecasting, anomaly detection, and statistical modelling over large-scale energy and emissions data Mentor engineers and lift the team's AI capability About you 5+ years shipping ML or data-intensive systems in production Hands‑on LLM experience in production: API integration, RAG, structured output, and evaluating generative systems Strong Python and the modern ML stack (PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, orchestration frameworks) C# experience preferred but not essential. Solid MLOps: containers, cloud, model monitoring, data pipelines Grounded in statistics and classic ML, with the judgement to know when a simple model beats an LLM Great communicator who can explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders Passionate about using technology to tackle environmental challenges (sustainability/energy/ESG domain experience a bonus, not a must) Bonus points if you've worked with sustainability, utilities, energy, finance or other highly regulated industries.
