Scale A Classroom Teacher – Fixed-Term, Part-Time (Commencing 2027) Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.4, Start Date: 28/01/2027, End Date: 27/01/2028 (Special Projects) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts SDA Ferndale Te Ahu School is a warm, inclusive, and vibrant specialist school community dedicated to creating an environment where every student thrives and achieves accelerated learning growth. To work effectively with our learners, you will be a relationship-based teacher who: Builds deep, trusting relationships with ākonga, whānau, and colleagues. Brings knowledge of, or a strong willingness to learn, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and strategies that unlock student voice. Is eager to learn and implement a range of evidence-based specialist teaching and learning approaches. Combines excellent communication skills with warmth, adaptability, energy, resilience, and a great sense of humour. Positions are available within our base school classrooms and across our primary, secondary, and transition satellites.
