Architect/Senior Architectural Designer

Breen Construction – Queenstown, South Island We are seeking an experienced Architect or Senior Architectural Designer with strong technical capability and a proactive attitude to join our team in one of our Central Otago offices– does this sound like you? The Job As an Architectural Designer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of commercial projects from initial concept through to detailed construction documentation. Working closely with clients, consultants and key stakeholders, you’ll develop innovative, practical design solutions that bring project visions to life while balancing design excellence, functionality and commercial outcomes. This is a collaborative role where you’ll work alongside our in-house estimating and Breen Homes teams, as well as construction teams, to ensure projects are buildable, efficient and delivered successfully. We’re looking for a proactive team player who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships and contributing to a positive, solutions-focused culture. You will: Be a NZ Resident with 5+ years’ experience in the New Zealand construction industry. Have NZRAB Registered Architect or Senior Architectural Designer with commercial project experience. Have advanced Autodesk Revit skills and strong technical design capability. Have a proven ability to produce high-quality Building Consent documentation with minimal supervision. Have excellent communication skills and confidence building relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. Be experienced in coordinating consultants and working within Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) environments.
