Machine Operator - Stone Manufacturing

EQUIP Recruitment – Wellington, North Island EQUIP People is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy stone manufacturing workshop in Wellington. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with CNC machining experience who takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. You'll be responsible for operating a range of specialised machinery while maintaining quality, efficiency and safety standards throughout the production process. What You'll Be Doing Operating CNC and automated stone processing machinery Programming and adjusting machine settings from CAD/DFX files where required Selecting and preparing materials to maximise yield and minimise waste Monitoring machine performance and product quality throughout production Reading and interpreting plans and technical drawings Carrying out quality checks on finished products Completing routine machine maintenance and keeping equipment clean Recording material usage and production information accurately Working safely while maintaining a clean and organised workspace Assisting with general factory duties as required What We're Looking For Previous experience operating CNC or automated manufacturing machinery Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Good computer skills and confidence working with machine programming Reliable, organised, and able to work independently Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing environment Commitment to workplace health and safety What's On Offer Full-time, long-term opportunity Modern manufacturing environment with advanced machinery Stable workload with a well-established business Supportive team culture Opportunity to further develop specialist CNC manufacturing skills NOT THE RIGHT ROLE? #J-18808-Ljbffr
