Join a leading NZ storage solutions company installing racking, shelving, and warehouse fit-outs on projects nationwide. 29th July, 2026 Position: Site Installer Location: Christchurch Type: Permanent, Full-time Days: Monday to Friday Hours: Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week The Company Our client is a proudly New Zealand-owned company specialising in the design, supply, and installation of commercial and industrial storage solutions throughout New Zealand. They work with businesses across the warehousing, distribution, retail, manufacturing, and logistics sectors, delivering high-quality pallet racking, shelving, workstations, and warehouse fit-out solutions. Their team takes pride in safety, reliability, and delivering practical storage systems that help customers maximise efficiency, productivity, and space utilisation. Core Duties & Responsibilities Build and install heavy-duty pallet racking, cantilever racking, shelving, and storage systems. Safely handle, transport, and install storage systems in commercial, retail, and warehouse environments Use hand tools and power tools to assemble metalwork, panels, and workbenches. Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts where required Support installation projects, assist with assembly work, and unload incoming containers. Follow engineering, architectural, and construction plans. Travel to projects throughout New Zealand as required. Requirements Previous experience in site installation, construction, carpentry, metal fabrication, or assembling industrial equipment. Ability to read and follow construction drawings and layouts. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Physically fit and comfortable handling repetitive lifting of heavy materials (up to approximately 25kg). Experience using forklifts and scissor lifts is advantageous Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel and stay away from home during project work when required. Good teamwork and communication skills. Ideal candidate With Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred Industrial construction or installation background. Experience with racking, shelving, structural steel, fabrication, or warehouse fit-outs. Forklift licence preferred. Comfortable working at heights using access equipment.
