Working Foreperson (Christchurch)

We’re looking for an experienced Working Foreperson who can run a grader or excavator and lead a crew on site . This is a hands‑on, lead‑from‑the‑front role working across roading, subdivisions, pavements and drainage in Canterbury. The Role Lead a small civil crew and subcontractors on site Operate graders (sub‑grade, pavement, final trim) Operate excavators (5–35t+) for drainage and earthworks Read plans and work to tight tolerances Run toolbox talks and keep safety and quality on track Look after your gear with daily pre‑starts and basic maintenance What You’ll Bring Strong grader experience (final trim is essential) Solid excavator experience across civil works 5–10+ years in civil construction, roading or subdivisions Experience leading or mentoring crews A practical, no‑nonsense approach and pride in your work This role might suit a Grader Operator / Foreman, Excavator Foreman, All‑Rounder Operator, or a Leading Hand ready to step up.
