ECE Head Teacher

Children First Early Childhood Centre Wellington ECE Head Teacher Full time, Permanent We are a privately owned centre in Upper Hutt with a license for 49 Tamariki, and are looking for a passionate Head Teacher - kaiako to join our team of dedicated kaiako to work in our Kiwi Nest with pepe (babies) and tamariki aged from babies to 2.5 years. Our vision statement is to encourage tamariki to reach their full potential through respectful, responsive relationships in a play-based environment. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday. As our new head teacher, you will have: a New Zealand Teachers Council valid practicing Certificate either a Diploma in Teaching ECE or a Degree in Education previous experience as a Head Teacher a strong understanding of programme planning, assessment and evaluations to meet Ministry of Education. Requirements A thorough understanding of the Ministry of Education regulations and compliance. Passion for tamariki, with a commitment to education and the best possible outcomes for tamariki and their whanau. Flexibility to be able to adapt to the changes that occur in the classroom each day. Authentic leadership with the ability to foster genuine relationships with tamariki, parents and colleagues. Be adaptable, open-minded and a motivated leader who follows best practice and is eager to inspire others. Already be living in New Zealand and have the right to work in New Zealand.
