About the Role As a key member of the Auckland leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and quality-focused performance across the supply chain. You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer outcomes, leading strategic initiatives, developing high-performing teams, and supporting the ongoing growth and success of the business. What You'll Do Operational Leadership Lead and inspire operational teams to achieve exceptional performance. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing culture. Establish clear goals, expectations, and accountability across all functions. Ensure teams have the resources, support, and capability required to succeed. Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives. Contribute to wider business planning and organisational initiatives. Drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and cost optimisation. Implement best-practice processes to improve productivity and service delivery. Lead key business improvement and operational projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Work closely with the Sales and Trading teams to ensure customer expectations are consistently met. Promote a customer-centric approach across all operational functions. Develop, coach, and mentor leaders and team members. Create a positive workplace culture that supports engagement and performance. Support recruitment, succession planning, training, and talent development initiatives. Performance & Risk Management Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyse operational performance and implement improvement plans where required. Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Develop and manage operational budgets. Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Ensure assets are maintained to the highest operational standards through effective maintenance planning. Health, Safety & Compliance Champion a strong health and safety culture across the business. Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and health and safety requirements. Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement in workplace safety. What You’ll Bring 10+ years' experience in senior operational leadership roles. Proven ability to lead large teams and build high-performing workplace cultures. Strong operational management experience with a focus on efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement. Sound knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and health & safety standards. Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget development, P&L accountability, and resource management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management capabilities. Experience leading business improvement initiatives and driving operational change. A hands-on, proactive leadership style with a focus on delivering results. Experience in food production, fresh produce, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments will be highly regarded.
