Botswana Butchery Queenstown - Assistant Restaurant Manager Good Group Limited – Queenstown, South Island ***Must have valid visa and currently be residing in NZ*** Good Group Hospitality has been in operation for over twenty years and is a leading player in the New Zealand Hospitality industry, with businesses in both Queenstown and Auckland. Working closely with the senior management team of Botswana Butchery, an iconic 1 hatted restaurant on Queenstown lakefront is looking for a new Assistant Restaurant Manager. The core of the role will be assisting the senior management team in the day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring the business exceeds expectations. The successful applicant must be positive and motivated to learn! Key Duties include, but are not limited to: Playing a hands-on role out front on a daily basis with the ability to assist in any area of front of house. Strive to exceed customers’ expectations at every opportunity and take a proactive approach to feedback to resolve customer complaints where necessary. Ensuring the efficient set up and running of each shift. Facilitating effective communication between Kitchen, management and front of house teams. Taking responsibility for opening and closing the restaurant. Cash handling, reconciliation of tills and cash-ups. Daily administrative duties including management of our booking systems and daily reporting. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in ensuring the restaurant is perfectly presented with appropriate ambience. To demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements of a licensed premises and ensure all required aspects of the sale of liquor are adhered to at all times. Role Specification: Ideal for an experienced front of house professional, with 2+ years in a hospitality environment who is looking to progress into management. Past leadership experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Good oral and written skills and confident communicator. A level of business acumen with the ability to understand math and basic accounting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure. Good computer literacy with experience in POS systems preferred. LCQ & Duty Managers certificate preferred but not essential.
