Engineering Technician

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Christchurch team. This is a varied role that combines office-based drafting with field work and construction monitoring, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical and practical work. About the Role No two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out construction monitoring inspections on residential and commercial projects. Undertaking shallow geotechnical investigations and recording accurate site information. Preparing site investigation logs and project documentation. Producing structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. Liaising with engineers, builders, contractors and clients. Maintaining field equipment and accurate project records. This role offers a great balance of office and site-based work and the opportunity to develop your skills across several areas of engineering. About You We're looking for someone who has some or all of the following: NZCE, Diploma in Engineering, NZ Diploma in Civil Engineering, or similar qualification (or equivalent practical experience). Experience with construction monitoring or site inspections. Experience undertaking shallow geotechnical investigations would be an advantage. Experience using Revit and AutoCAD. A practical, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence. A SiteSafe Passport, or willingness to obtain one (we'll support you through the process).
