Job Description
The Management Accountant is a permanent full-time role in Hawke's Bay responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant financial information and advice to support informed decision-making across EIT. The remuneration for this role will be between $90,000 and $100,000 dependant on skills and experience. The Management Accountant is based in Finance reporting to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for: Preparing monthly and ad hoc financial reports, analysis and management information. Monitoring financial performance and providing insight against budgets and plans. Supporting managers with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. Analysing programme viability, profitability and business performance. Contributing to the development of business cases and financial recommendations. Developing and maintaining financial models, tools and spreadsheets. Providing expert financial advice and support to managers across EIT. Supporting the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and controls. Assisting with annual budgeting, reforecasting and audit requirements. Building strong business partnering relationships to support informed decision-making. To be successful in this role you will have: Proven experience in a management accounting role. Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills. Experience interpreting financial data and translating it into meaningful insights. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial systems. Experience preparing management reports, forecasts and financial models. Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Experience supporting business leaders with financial decision-making. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities. A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
