Title/Position: X-ray Modality Lead Medical Imaging Technologist
\nLocation: Counties Manukau, South Auckland across Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park (MHP)
\nContract: fixed term (parental leave) full-time
\nFull-time placement with contribution to MIT shift roster only as needed.
\nHealth New Zealand - Counties Manukau Radiology is located in South Auckland across Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park (MHP) and is at the forefront of innovative health care delivery in the New Zealand Public Health Sector.
\nWe provide radiology services to patients from a very diverse community and receive referrals nationally for patients with spinal injuries and burns.
\nRadiology is a rapidly growing service with expansion into new premises at MHP opening later in 2026 including six general x-ray rooms.
\nThe successful applicant will need to hold a current annual practising certificate with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board.
\nThis position will report to the MIT Team Leader and will work alongside other X-ray Modality Leads.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Supporting the MIT team, allocating and adjusting staffing and equipment resources to ensure optimal service delivery, supervising and assessing the MIT students and MITs orientation. \n
- Responsible for the delivery of emergency, portable, inpatient, GP and clinic x-ray services. \n
- Providing coverage to the MIT Team Leader supported by the Radiology service manager when required. \n
To be successful you will require a minimum of 2 years experience in a trauma hospital setting and be a team who enjoys sharing their expertise and knowledge, is motivated, innovative and organised.
