Job Description

This is not a run-of-the-mill general practice role We’re looking for a GP who is drawn to variety, connection, and working in a clinic where people genuinely care about patients and each other. At WW Clinic on Grey, we’re proud of the way our team shows up. When things don’t go to plan (as they sometimes do in healthcare), our people rally, communicate, take responsibility, and make it right. Our patient feedback consistently reflects this, not just great clinical care, but compassion, teamwork, and professionalism under pressure. If you’re looking for a role where quality of care, teamwork, and culture genuinely matter, we’d love to talk. Why WW Clinic on Grey We are a locally owned practice with two hands‑on owners, a strong patient‑first ethos, and a commitment to clinical excellence and sustainable practice. Together, we are intentionally building a workplace where Patient care is never rushed or compromised, communication is open and respectful, and it continually improves, and people feel supported, trusted, and proud of where they work. Our clinic offers a focused yet diverse scope, including General Practice, Women’s Health, Travel Medicine, and Corporate and Occupational Health clients. This variety creates interest, balance, and the opportunity to develop specialist interests alongside general practice work. About the role The Practice is Open: Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 3.45pm. Closed weekends and Public Holidays. You’ll be joining a small, experienced team that includes two GPs, Nurse Practitioner, a Nurse Manager, Registered Nurses, and the best Health Care Assistant in the Region! We have a highly experienced Practice Manager and two exceptional receptionists/administrators who support the overall team and our patients. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient‑centred clinical care, assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic conditions; prescribing and managing ongoing treatment plans; and supporting preventive care and patient education. We pride ourselves on working collaboratively within and across our broad multidisciplinary team. This role will suit someone who enjoys autonomy but also values being part of a close, communicative team. Who we’re really looking for You don’t need to be everything to everyone — but you do need to care deeply about your work. We’re looking for someone who is clinically confident and patient‑focused, communicates clearly and kindly, even in pressured moments, values teamwork and mutual respect across clinical and admin roles, is adaptable and open to continuous improvement and most importantly who wants to be part of a clinic that feels human, not corporate. Registration requirements: GP – Medical Council of New Zealand (current APC), or Why the Manawatū Palmerston North offers a high‑quality lifestyle with easy commuting, strong community connections, great cafes, river walks, and outdoor spaces. Our proximity to Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, and the Central Plateau makes us unique, and our local airport makes travel anywhere a breeze. Many of our team have chosen to stay here because life simply works. We know this is a hard‑to‑recruit role, and we’re open to a conversation about how we might make this work, rather than a perfect CV. #J-18808-Ljbffr
