3PI is a NZ OWNED AND OPERATED company that provides a non-biased inspection service to our clients to ensure their products meet New Zealand orInternational standards, and client specifications. The majority of 3PI's work scope is Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Asset Integrity Management (AIM). Our experience inNDT and inspection services encompassesonshore and offshore projects, mining sites, construction projects, sub-sea pipelines, oil platform maintenance, oil terminals, refineries, paper mill plants, food process plants, chemical plants, structural steel and the marine industry. About the role: An opportunity exists for an NDT Technician to carry out client testing requirements in New Plymouth, Taranaki - North Island. You will ideally have extensive experience in a similar NDT role carrying outMagnetic Particle,Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Radiographic Non-Destructive Testing on mine, oil & gas or heavy industrial sites. You will also have good client relationship building skills and the ability to work autonomously. Planning and scheduling of weekly NDT works, liaise with clients and supervise projects as required. Verifying summary and documentation control and ensure all inspections performed to Test Procedures. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations. Ensure strict adherence of all 3PI Policies: PPE, Safety, Driving, Drug & Alcohol. Will conduct NDT inspections and interpret results to accept/reject parts. Required to interpret codes, standards, drawings, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method. Ability to select the NDT method and technique for a specific inspection, prepare and verify the adequacy of procedures. Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment. Familiar with IANZ's requirement if accredited job is required. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Organise and report test results. Encourage participation from operations, technical and maintenance in developing innovative solutions to problems. Plan daily and long-term maintenance activities. May instruct and supervise trainees. Minimum requirement two ISO 9712 Level 2 certifications ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in MT, PT, UT & RT ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in PAUT, TOFD & ET is advantageous Minimum of 2 years' experience post qualification Good communication and interpersonal skills An understanding and commitment to HSE Advanced attention to detail and organisational skills Remuneration and other benefits: Minimum of 40 hours a week guaranteed.
