Senior SOC Analyst

In this role, you'll take responsibility for analysing security policies and protocols, conducting thorough audits to identify weaknesses across the organisation's systems and networks. You'll monitor security access, perform vulnerability testing, and help shape the incident response and disaster recovery strategies that keep the business protected. This role is an ideal stepping stone toward senior analyst and specialist roles within the security function. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability testing, and both internal and external audits to identify and mitigate risks Monitor security access, analyse breaches to determine root cause, and continuously refine incident response and disaster recovery plans Verify third-party vendor security posture and collaborate to ensure compliance with organisational security requirements Preferred Requirements Demonstrated experience in security analysis, including vulnerability assessment and risk analysis methodologies Hands-on experience with operational technology (OT) devices and security monitoring tools Solid understanding of security frameworks, policies, and audit procedures Ability to analyse security incidents, identify root causes, and document findings clearly Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Relevant qualification in cybersecurity, information security, or a related IT discipline Industry-recognised security certification such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP Prior experience in a security operations centre (SOC) or similar security-focused role Only people with the right to live and work in New Zealand may apply for this role.
