Job Description
You will manage and deliver the civil engineering components for a varied pipeline of land development and infrastructure projects. You will be actively involved across the entire project lifecycle; from initial client engagement and site testing, through to complex Civil 3D design, resource consent navigation, and final on-site construction sign-off. Supported by experienced senior leadership, you will have professional autonomy to run projects independently while having direct, daily access to technical mentorship. Key responsibilities Civil design for small to medium residential and commercial subdivisions from concept through to final compliance Roading, pavement, and earthworks design Stormwater and wastewater reticulation networks Stormwater hydraulic designs and site-specific flood hazard assessments On-site engineering investigations and construction monitoring to support PS4 delivery Preparing comprehensive engineering design reports for building and resource consents About you Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), BEngTech, or relevant New Zealand Diploma in Civil Engineering 3+ years of practical New Zealand civil design experience within a consultancy environment Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (familiarity with standard stormwater modelling tools is highly valued) Excellent technical writing capabilities and the ability to work independently to project deadlines Current, full New Zealand driver's licence Valid NZ Residency or an active, valid NZ Work Visa About us Vision Consulting Engineers (VISION) is an established, progressive consultancy delivering civil, geotechnical, and environmental solutions across the Northland region.
