Appliance Repair Technician (Whiteware)

Laser Electrical Motueka – Motueka, South Island We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Appliance Repair Technician to join our team. If you enjoy hands‑on technical work, solving problems, and helping customers get their homes and businesses running smoothly again, this role will suit you well. About the Role You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining domestic and commercial appliances to restore them to full working order. You’ll work independently in the field, manage your own workload, and deliver a high standard of customer service. What You’ll Be Doing Diagnosing faults using testing equipment and technical knowledge Repairing and replacing faulty components, parts and systems Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance Explaining issues and repair options clearly to customers Maintaining accurate job records, parts usage and time logs Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations Managing spare parts and tools, reporting low stock levels Responding promptly to customer enquiries and service requests Preparing quotations when required Scheduling and coordinating appointments with customers Keeping up to date with new appliance models and repair techniques Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times What You’ll Bring Qualification in electrical engineering, appliance repair or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Proven experience in appliance repair or a similar technical role Strong knowledge of domestic appliances and electrical systems Competency with diagnostic and repair tools Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals Valid driver licence and reliable transport Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail Physical fitness to lift and move heavy appliances Commitment to safe working practices Why Join Us Competitive pay based on experience Supportive team environment Variety of work across domestic and commercial sites Opportunities for ongoing training and skill development #J-18808-Ljbffr
