Patient Safety Coordinator

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern – Dunedin, South Island Permanent 0.6 FTE (24hrs per week) opportunity At Health New Zealand-Southern, it's truly a team effort- we are looking for someone who has experience and a passion for patient safety to join our team. The role is 0.6 FTE permanent position, working across the district. About the opportunity Key areas of focus are: Working with other team members to provide coordination and role modelling in the Adverse Event Learning programme including the incident management system looking at what is going well, and where opportunities for patient safety improvement are. Carrying out teaching of adverse event processes and building capability for undertaking reviews within services. Facilitation of some adverse event reviews, providing guidance to the team undertaking the review, and ensuring high quality reviews with appropriate recommendations and learning outcomes. Involved in and leading clinical patient safety improvement projects. Participation in the audit processes as required.
