The Kraft Heinz Company – Hastings, North Island This role leads the day-to-day logistics operation on Afternoon Shift and plays a key part in raising performance, improving ways of working, and bringing consistency across shifts. You’ll be a visible leader who runs the operation through planning, prioritisation, strong controls, and clear reporting — not someone who is routinely “on the forks” moving pallets. You’ll work acrossHawke’s Bay warehousing, currently including theNational Distribution Centre (NDC)andHastings Material Store, with close connection to factory requirements and outbound service outcomes. Key position responsibilities include: Lead theAfternoon Shift (2:00pm–11:00pm)logistics operation acrossHawke’s Bay warehousing, including theNational Distribution Centre (NDC)andHastings Material Store(and other sites in scope). Build and run the daily shift plan:priorities, sequencing, labour allocation, and fair overtime—balancingservice, safety, and cost. Manageworkload, volumes, and constraintsin real time; escalaterisks and remove blockers early. Ensure orders are deliveredin full, on time, and cost-effectively, with strong control of requiredadministration and documentation. Own coreKPIs and reporting, includingRDD, CFR, OTIF; analyse performance and drive corrective actions. Partner with planning and operations to align warehousing execution to factory needs acrossingredients, packaging, finished goods, and outbound volume. Lead, coach, and develop the team; ensure training completion and provide ongoing feedback (discipline up toverbal warning levelwhere required). Drivecontinuous improvement and digitalisation: simplify processes, strengthen controls, and lift shift-to-shift consistency, pace, and standards. Maintain stronghousekeepingand support upkeep ofequipment, buildings, and racking. Supervise transport service providers to meetKHC SLAs; support theNZ Transport Managerwith performance reviews and RFP support. Champion compliance acrossFood Safety, Environmental, EHS, HR, and legislativerequirements (including transport-provider compliance). Support inventory integrity, includingIRA targetsand accuratestock write-offidentification/allocation. About you: Proven experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor / Shift Lead role within warehousing or logistics (FMCG experience strongly preferred). Strong administration capability: confident with paperwork, controls, system transactions, and accurate reporting. Demonstrated ability to plan shift activity, manage workload/volume, and deliver to time and service requirements. Confident leader with clear communication and decision-making under pressure. Strong commitment to quality, food safety, and compliance standards. Forklift licence (FL) or willingness to obtain (role requirement). A bonus if you have: Experience with BPCS/Paperless or similar WMS/ERP inventory systems. Strong Excel skills and confidence with Microsoft/Windows applications. Working knowledge of transport operations (road/rail/sea/air) and provider performance management. Continuous improvement experience (standard work, visual management, waste reduction, process redesign). Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or inventory-related disciplines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
