Community Support Worker Team Lead

Community Support Worker Team Lead Arataki Ministries provides community mental health services across the Whangarei and Kaipara areas. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Community Support Worker Team Lead to join our Whangarei team. As Team Lead, you will provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and operational oversight to our Community Support Worker (CSW) team, ensuring services are delivered with integrity, cultural responsiveness, and excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a team of Community Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Coordinate team schedules, supervision, and performance development. Foster a positive team culture grounded in collaboration, respect, and accountability. Ensure services align with Arataki Ministries values of Manaakitanga, Aroha, Whanaungatanga, Kotahitanga, and Mana, as well as organisational policies and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Encourage and support families/whānau to participate in the recovery journey of clients. Focus on service users’ strengths to support positive recovery outcomes. Coordinate and ensure all processes, documentation, and wellness plans are accurate, comprehensive, and current for each client. Coach and mentor team members in organisational processes, documentation requirements, and professional practice standards. Work effectively with the wider community while challenging stigma and discrimination. Maintain ongoing personal and professional development. Skills & Experience Strong communication and relationship‑building skills. Demonstrated experience in Community Support or Social Services. Commitment to cultural competency and culturally responsive practice. Proven leadership or mentoring experience, whether formal or informal. Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities effectively. Relevant qualification in Mental Health, Social Work, or Community Services (preferred but not essential).
