About the role As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business, ensuring our teams operate efficiently, our clients receive exceptional service, and every property is maintained to the highest standard. You will play a key role in managing staff, coordinating daily operations, improving systems and processes, and supporting the continued growth of the business. Key responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cleaning business. Manage staff rosters and reallocate teams throughout the day based on operational requirements. Make operational decisions regarding staffing, scheduling and urgent operational changes. Coordinate multiple residential, holiday home and commercial cleaning jobs to ensure services are completed efficiently and on time. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, property managers and key stakeholders. Monitor service quality and carry out property inspections when required. Train, coach and support supervisors and cleaning staff. Manage staff performance and resolve operational issues. Monitor inventory levels, manage linen requirements and order cleaning supplies. Manage supplier relationships and coordinate equipment and vehicle maintenance. Review operational processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and service quality. Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to the Director. Handle escalated customer enquiries and resolve complex client issues professionally. Ensure company procedures, health and safety requirements, and quality standards are consistently followed. Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support business operations. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will have: A minimum of 3 years' experience , or a relevant qualification. Previous experience supervising, leading and supporting a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and support staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A proactive, reliable and hands-on attitude with excellent attention to detail. A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence . A clean criminal record (background checks may be carried out as part of the recruitment process). Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and rotating shifts when required.
