About the role This is a varied, hands-on role replacing and installing showers in residential homes throughout Christchurch. We're open to a permanent team member, or we would also welcome applications from experienced subcontractors who are already established or looking for consistent ongoing work. While every installation starts with replacing a shower, no two jobs are the same. You'll often uncover hidden issues that require practical thinking, quality workmanship and a solutions-focused approach. You'll work alongside the owner as you learn the business, with the goal of becoming a trusted installer who can confidently manage jobs independently. Success in this role comes from taking pride in your work, communicating well with customers and treating every home with care and respect. Key responsibilities Remove existing showers and prepare work areas Install new shower systems to a high standard Complete minor carpentry and framing repairs where required Identify and resolve unexpected on-site issues Maintain clean, safe and organised work sites Communicate professionally with homeowners Complete job documentation and site photos using mobile technology Deliver consistently high-quality workmanship About you You're someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing the job properly and values building strong relationships with customers. You don't necessarily need shower installation experience, but you do need some trade experience, a willingness to learn, and the attitude to become a trusted member of a small team.
