Job Description

Key duties and tasks include: Performs standard construction and maintenance tasks across building sites and prefabrication factories, supporting the erection and upkeep of structures and site facilities. Supports site setup, including clearing waste, setting up barriers and scaffolding, and keeping work areas clean and organised with tools maintained in good condition. Moves and handles materials and equipment across the site and uses hand and power tools to assist with installation of structural or prefabricated components. Prepares and applies materials such as concrete, plaster, and mortar, and carries out excavation tasks including digging and removing soil. Levels and prepares surfaces, and assists with basic plumbing and pipework installation, including fixtures and fittings. Builds, assembles, installs, refurbishes, or repairs structural frameworks and fittings using timber, plywood, light gauge steel, plasterboard, and other construction materials. Reads and interprets construction plans, positions and secures steel reinforcement bars and mesh within concrete formwork to reinforce and strengthen concrete structures. Manages the movement of vehicles and pedestrians in and around work zones during road closures or partial closures arising from construction activity, maintenance works, public events, or emergency operations. To be successful for the role: Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience Must have reliable transport to travel to various job locations Be available to work on the weekends when required Motivated and proactive, with a solid work ethic and strong communication (including English) abilities Physically Fit - this is a very physically demanding role Be comfortable working outdoor in all weather conditions. Pre – employed drug test required MOJ checks required Be flexible to work in nearby regions and complete work assignments as required.
