Senior Technician - Christchurch

We are seeking a Senior Technician, ideally with around 3 years’ experience in the forklift industry, based in Rolleston Christchurch . Ideally have both IC and electric forklift training and have experience with Combilift and Aisle Master forklifts would be an advantage. This position requires good product knowledge, the ability to work autonomously, and confidence in servicing and repairs. In this role, you will: Carry out servicing and break down work for rental trucks, and client-owned equipment. Attend to breakdowns & carry out repairs on site. Carry out pre-delivery checks on new forklifts and battery management (charging/discharging) Inspect and report on equipment arrivals, noting and addressing any issues before customer handover Requirements While formal qualifications are not essential, relevant hands‑on experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have: Around 3+ years’ experience in a similar role (experience with Combilift and Aisle Master forklifts is a bonus) Great self‑management skills and the ability to work independently Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required A practical, problem‑solving approach and good customer awareness Reside preferably in Rolleston, Christchurch -The listed hourly rate reflects the minimum wage to satisfy SEEK's posting requirements.
