Procurement & Planning Coordinator

Robertson Engineering Ltd – Upper Hutt, North Island You’ll sit at the centre of our supply chain, connecting what the business needs with the suppliers who deliver it - locally and offshore. Shipping documents, purchase orders, supplier paperwork - in a manufacturing business, that detail is what keeps the factory humming. Key responsibilities Managing inventory across our sites - raw materials, mins and maxes, the lot Creating and coordinating manufacturing orders to ensure the production managers have plenty of jobs to fill their production schedules Running our domestic and import purchasing operations - raising and managing purchase orders, and working with local and overseas vendors, freight forwarders and transporters to get raw materials from supplier floor to our door Building strong supplier relationships and developing our supplier evaluation and performance processes to ensure the highest levels of quality and service delivery Working alongside our Supply Chain Manager on planning, cost control, and keeping COGS where they should be Spotting and driving process improvements - if you see a better way, we want to hear it About you Solid experience in purchasing and planning (manufacturing or import experience is a bonus) Valuable experience working across the planning, inventory and procurement modules within modern ERP systems Organised to your bones - you prioritise well, follow through, and don't let things slip A professional, positive operator who suppliers enjoy dealing with and colleague's trust Commercially minded - you understand that every dollar saved in the supply chain matters Must have the right to work in New Zealand About us Robertson Engineering has been manufacturing in New Zealand for over 50 years.
