The Role We are looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about empowering others and helping them reach their full potential. As a Support Worker, you will have an incredible opportunity to work closely with members of our community who have complex disabilities. Your role will be vital in guiding them towards independence and mastering essential life skills. This includes supporting them with various aspects of daily life, such as personal care, meal preparation, creating support plans, and managing household tasks. This is a full-time fixed-term position to cover parental leave , commencing on 3 August 2026 and concluding on 17 May 2027 . Please note that, following the initial period, there will be a gradual reduction in hours to support the phased return to work of the employee returning from parental leave. Due to the intimate support requirements of the person we support, this position is open only to female applicants , in accordance with the Human Rights Act 1993. About You We are seeking someone who naturally embodies kindness, empathy, and reliability. You should excel at time management, work well as part of a team, and approach challenges with creativity and problem-solving skills. A good sense of humour and a genuine passion for building meaningful connections are highly valued. Experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviours is especially desirable, particularly if you have an understanding of intellectual disabilities. What we are looking for: Experience in disability or mental health support, particularly with individuals who have challenging behaviours.
