About the Role As a Transport Administrator, you will play a vital role in helping patients access the healthcare services they need by coordinating travel and accommodation through the National Travel Assistance (NTA) Scheme. Working with patients, whānau, clinical teams, transport providers, and accommodation services, you will ensure travel arrangements are organised efficiently, accurately, and with a strong focus on patient experience. This is a busy and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will manage travel bookings, process applications and claims, maintain accurate records, coordinate invoices, and provide exceptional customer service to patients navigating their healthcare journey. Your work will directly contribute to removing barriers to care and supporting positive health outcomes across our communities. About the Team/Service/ Location Our Transport Team is dedicated to ensuring patients can safely and efficiently access healthcare services both within and outside the region. We work closely with clinical teams and external providers to coordinate travel and accommodation solutions that support positive patient experiences and equitable access to care. Based in Hastings, you'll join a supportive and collaborative team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and whānau every day. About you As a Transport Administrator, you will be an organised, customer-focused professional with strong administration skills and a passion for helping people. Proven administration experience in a busy customer-focused environment. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, data entry, and record management. Experience processing invoices and maintaining accurate documentation. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive, culturally aware, and solutions-focused approach with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
