Job Description
Luisetti Seeds has been part of New Zealand's seed and grain industry for over 90 years. Family-owned and operated, we retail and wholesale grain and seed across New Zealand and internationally. What's kept us going this long isn't just the products we carry, it's the relationships we've built with the farmers and growers who trust us season after season. We're now looking for an experienced Arable Agronomist to take on a well-established client base across the Mid Canterbury region. The role At its core, this role is about helping our farming clients succeed. You'll be the person they call when they need sound advice, a second opinion on a crop decision, or a trusted partner who genuinely understands their operation. The relationships you build here matter - not just for the season ahead, but for the long term. You'll provide practical agronomic advice, support crop and fertiliser decisions, and work alongside clients to get the best results from their land. Sales and business development are a real part of this position, and you'll be working to KPIs as part of a high-performing agronomy team. But the foundation of everything you do will be creating genuine value for the clients you serve. Day to day, you can expect to be: Advising farmer clients on seed and grain products suited to their operations Providing crop and fertiliser recommendations based on current conditions and the client's goals Maintaining and growing an existing client base while identifying new opportunities Collaborating with the wider Luisetti Seeds agronomy team Managing your own time and territory effectively across the region What you'll bring We're looking for someone who takes real pride in the quality of advice they give and the relationships they keep. Our clients have worked with Luisetti Seeds for years, or in many cases, decades. The person stepping into this role will understand the responsibility that comes with that. To be considered, you'll need: Proven experience in an agronomy or agricultural sales role A solid understanding of arable cropping systems, ideally within Canterbury Strong communication skills and a genuine ability to build lasting client relationships A commercial mindset with the ability to meet sales targets and KPIs Excellent planning and organisational ability A full, clean New Zealand driver's license Experience in a similar role is preferred. That said, if you have strong agronomy knowledge and a genuine drive to develop your career in this space, we'd still like to hear from you. What's on offer A competitive, market-leading salary package Company vehicle The backing of a well-respected, family-owned New Zealand business A supportive team environment with real opportunity to grow This is a role where the work you do directly shapes the outcomes your clients achieve. If you're someone who finds real satisfaction in seeing a client's season come together well, and you want to be part of a business that values those long-term partnerships as much as you do; we'd love to hear from you. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
