Design & Print Consultant

Tainui Press (2026) Limited – Matamata, North Island This is a customer-focused role that combines customer service, quoting, job management, and graphic design within a busy digital print and signage environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy talking with people, be confident communicating both in person and over the phone, and be passionate about helping customers find the best solution for their printing and signage needs. Key responsibilities Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email. Discuss customer requirements and provide advice on the most suitable print and signage solutions. Prepare accurate and timely quotes for a wide variety of print and signage jobs. Liaise with production staff to determine job specifications, production methods, and estimated completion times. Manage jobs from the initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the process. Produce and edit artwork including business cards, flyers, service sheets, labels, and other print-ready files. Prepare customer files for production and make minor artwork adjustments where required. Maintain accurate job records and ensure attention to detail throughout the quoting and production process. Work closely with the production team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Build positive relationships with customers through friendly, professional service. About you Excellent customer service and communication skills. Friendly, approachable, and confident speaking with customers. Comfortable making phone calls and discussing job requirements. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple jobs and prioritise workload. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Good computer skills and willingness to learn industry-specific software. Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (desirable). Experience in the print, signage, or graphic design industry (desirable). Experience preparing artwork for print (desirable).
