Operations Manager - Civil

Under the leadership of a switched-on GM with a clear vision and zero ego, they're building something that goes well beyond your average civil firm. With a strong project pipeline and genuine long-term growth plans, they're ready to bring in the person who'll help lead them there. Day to day, you'll be across planning and scheduling, project coordination, financial performance, subcontractor management, and building out the systems that let a growing business scale without falling over. You'll work closely with the QS and site teams and take real ownership of operational performance across the board. This role is about more than just keeping the wheels turning. The GM is looking for someone who elevates the people around them. If you're the type who gets as much satisfaction from developing others as you do from delivering results, you'll fit right in. What we are looking for: Solid civil construction background with strong subdivision knowledge An established Canterbury network of key contacts Experience in an operations, contracts, or senior PM capacity Sharp commercial acumen - margins, back-costing, and profitability A natural leader and communicator who elevates those around them Zero ego - great culture here, and they intend to keep it that way Someone who leads from the front, bringing energy and structure Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa - please note: sponsorships are not available for this role.
