Job Description
Reporting to the Maritime Supply Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers receive exceptional service from enquiry through to delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing division that supplies food and consumables to domestic and international vessels throughout New Zealand. Every day is different, with a mix of logistics, customer service, purchasing, warehouse operations and coordination. Key responsibilities Coordinating quotes and orders for maritime customers Purchasing and receipting products Picking, packing and checking orders for domestic and international vessels Preparing customs documentation and ensuring all paperwork is accurate Coordinating deliveries to ports with drivers and contractors Maintaining contractor accreditation registers Building strong relationships with brokers, suppliers and customers Working closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer service Operating forklifts and maintaining a safe working environment Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety requirements About you Experience in logistics, warehousing or operational support Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment Great communication and relationship-building skills A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to help wherever required Forklift experience (or the ability to obtain a licence) Class 2 licences would be an advantage but is not essential Experience within the food industry or supply chain would be an advantage but is not essential About us Owen Group is a proudly family-owned New Zealand business that has been supplying the foodservice industry since 1985.
