Kitchen Designer

The Role Workshop Designs is looking for a Kitchen Designer to join our team and help turn our clients' dreams into reality. We believe great kitchens start at the consultation and design stage — it's where enthusiasm, determination and creativity all come together. That's the sort of person we're after: someone who genuinely listens, gets to know our clients, and translates their goals, style and lifestyle into a design they can't wait to live in. This role is as much about people as it is about design. You'll be helping customers through every stage of their project, from that first conversation right through to the finished kitchen — thinking outside the box, sweating the details, and following through until the job is signed off. If you love the design side but also love the client relationship side, this one's for you. You'll be based out of our fully equipped, modern Masterton workshop, with projects and renovations taking you around the Wairarapa and Wellington regions. What You'll Be Doing Greeting clients and visiting sites across Wairarapa and Wellington Understanding client needs and desires, and translating those into thoughtful designs Designing kitchens (software traning can be provided) Presenting designs to clients and talking through options and alternatives Quoting and producing visualisations for kitchens, benchtops and all associated components Assisting with site measurements Providing installation advice when needed Signing off completed kitchens with clients and arranging remedial work if required Keeping all files and records up to date What We're Looking For Passionate about design , with a genuine flair for it — some design experience is ideal Willing to learn and keen to upgrade your skills as you go Excellent organisational skills — self-motivated, and able to work to deadlines Friendly, honest and reliable , with a genuinely helpful attitude A true team player — we're a small crew where everyone chips in Service-focused , with real attention to detail and a practical understanding of space An unbelievable communicator , comfortable building relationships and inspiring confidence A good sense of humour.
