Job Description
The Sweetshop is a global production company with offices and projects running across multiple continents. We’re looking for a creative and driven individual to join our Brand & Creative team, working to elevate our digital presence across social media & comms. This is a role with real scope, sitting within our Brand team, working across the various Sweetshop brands and reporting directly to the Global Head of Brand. What you'll be doing: You’ll be the person who finds the story. We have incredible footage, campaigns, talent, and moments happening constantly across our companies. Your job is to spot what’s worth sharing and shape it into something worth watching. That means cutting existing video into social-first content, writing sharp copy, and crafting PR pieces that launch our directors' commercial campaigns to the world. But it also means being the guardian of how we show up, ensuring every post, newsletter, and update feels unmistakably us. You’ll work within brand templates while bringing enough design confidence to know when something isn’t quite right and how to fix it. This role rewards range. One day you’re editing a campaign video for Instagram, the next you’re writing a press release, designing an Instagram story, doing a deep dive on a director' s work or updating the website. You’ll keep our channels fresh and stay across the work coming out of each regional office, and help promote our talent all while maintaining a consistent brand voice across every touchpoint. What we're looking for: You have 3-5 years in a creative, content, or social role, or fewer if you’ve packed a lot in. Either way, you back yourself, and you get things done. You have exceptional storytelling instincts and a nose for the compelling detail hiding inside everyday business activity. You write well, whether that’s a punchy caption, an on-brand newsletter, or a PR release that makes people want to watch a director's latest campaign. You’re fluent across Instagram and LinkedIn in particular. You understand B2B, how LinkedIn works differently from the rest: what performs organically, how to build an audience, and how to run paid campaigns that feel native rather than forced. You know what’s working on social and why, across both paid and organic. On the tools side, you’re comfortable in Canva, Affinity, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe, or similar, and confident enough to execute without hand-holding. You won’t be on set with a camera. You’ll be the person who takes what exists and makes it land. Most importantly: you bring ideas, take initiative, and want to grow. What's on offer: A permanent role with flexible working, based in our Ponsonby offices. You’ll be joining a small but high-performing team that values innovation and growth, one where everyone mucks in and takes real pride in what they put out. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience. NOTE: This is a role that requires you to be in Auckland. #J-18808-Ljbffr
