FAK Freight Loader / Fork Hoist Operator (16/07RS) Full time, Contract/Temp FAK Freight Loader / Fork Hoist Operator - Cross Docking Expert About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced fast-paced FAK (Freight All Kinds) Freight Loader / Fork Hoist Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this critical role, you will lead the floor during high-volume freight windows, ensuring inbound general freight is efficiently processed and re-routed. This is a high-utility, hands-on position requiring exceptional spatial awareness and expertise in rapid cross-docking environments. Location: [ East + South Auckland ] Position Type: Full-time, Permanent - on going Hours: [ Shift/Hours, Monday to Friday, AM shift - early ] Key Responsibilities Precision Fork Hoist Operation: Safely and rapidly operate heavy-duty forklifts to load and unload linehaul trucks and curtain siders. Efficient Cross-Docking: Receive, sort, consolidate, and reload FAK freight directly across the dock with minimal storage time. Load Planning & Optimisation: Maximise truck deck space safely while ensuring weight distribution adheres to transport regulations. Manifest & RF Scanning: Use manifests to maintain 100% inventory tracking accuracy. Health & Safety Excellence: Strictly maintain site safety protocols, ensuring zero damage to freight, equipment, or team members What We Are Looking For Current Forklift Certificate (OSH): Must hold a valid OSH hoist ticket. An F Endorsement on your driver's licence is highly preferred. ( pls state on your resume ) Cross-Docking Experience: Proven history working in high-volume, fast-moving FAK freight environments. Attachment Capability: Competence operating hoists with updated/specialised front-end gear, extension long forks, or multi-tyne setups is preferred. Physical Fitness & Agility: Comfortable operating on your feet, climbing into cabs, and handling fast-shifting schedules. Reliability: A rock-solid attendance record, strong communication skills, and a safety-first mindset.
