Role : We are seeking a Supply and Distribution Manager to oversee our purchasing, inventory, and distribution operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient supply chain management while maintaining optimal stock levels and cost control. Location: Lower Hutt Hours and Pay: Minimum 30 hours | $30 - $35 per hour (depending on experience) Minimum qualification/experience: At least a bachelor’s degree OR at least 5 years of relevant work experience Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategies, policies, and plans for purchasing, storage, and distribution to support operational objectives. Design and implement inventory management systems to maintain adequate stock levels Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms in relation to quality, pricing, and delivery performance. Review and optimise warehousing and inventory processes to ensure efficient stock control and supply continuity. Establish and manage systems to accurately track the movement of goods across inbound and outbound distribution channels. Oversee stock replenishment processes to ensure timely ordering and uninterrupted availability of products. Collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to coordinate supply requirements and logistics arrangements. Supervise the accurate recording and reporting of purchasing, storage, and distribution activities. Analyse supply chain data to identify improvements, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational costs. Lead and coordinate teams across purchasing, warehousing, and distribution functions to achieve business targets. Evaluate staff performance and ensure adherence to organisational standards, policies, and procedures. Other requirements Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain operations. New Zealand full drivers’ licence or an ability to get one. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Some experience with inventory control systems and logistics planning is preferred. Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
